Hi, I’m Rachel!
Currently, I’m a graphic designer at Smart Design focusing on innovative design solutions. Leading with empathy, I am a collaborative problem solver and maker who designs with optimism and an open mind. I have a passion for social impact work and strive throughout all of my projects to create programs and methods for solutions.
In the fall of 2022, I intered at The White House in the Office of Digital Strategy executing visual design and the principles of design thinking. I have also collaborated with 3M in their Health Care Business Group, Anti-Defamation League, Women for Biden, Center for Urban Pedagogy (CUP), and The Morris Project.
I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis where I studied Communication Design and Sociology. At WashU, I received the inaugural Catalyst Award, which recognized my ability to inspire others and promote change. In addition, I was awarded Honors in Innovation and Entrepreneurship and was an active member in the International Sociology Honor Society. As president of WashU’s AIGA chapter and as an active member of Design for America, I found purpose in supporting emerging leaders in my community. During my time in St. Louis, I also volunteered with City Faces and WashU Votes.
